Really?????

So I've been trying to get back to my old self and am at about 95% of my strength pre-cancer...... But..... I did a powerlifting contest last weekend and think I tore my pec (hopefully just a minor or partial tear since there is no discoloration and my range of motion is OK). My opener bench was cake, then on my second attempt I felt a "pop" in my chest, but was still able to complete the lift. Oh well....back to the drawing board. I didn't take my 3rd attempt and forewent the deadlifts.



Never Quit!

My plan now is to lay off any bench work for a few weeks and quite frankly lay off of any powerlifts (squat/bench/deadlift) in general for a few weeks. In the meantime I'm going to do some weightlifting (snatch/clean and jerk), strongman, and maybe some highland games throws. Just to take a break from the powerlifts and still do some good training. Remember, be an athlete, eat and train, don't diet and exercise.


Breakfast: 900 Calories w/ 60 grams protein
