Haven’t posted in a while, but still training. I’m back to raw powerlifting as I just got too frustrated with equipped lifting and the time it takes to put on all that gear. It’s really tough to train alone when lifting equipped. Anyway I’m still suffering from the intense daily muscle spasms all over my body as well, but it isn’t stopping me.
Competed in the RAW Tri-State Championships and finished very well with 3 PRs.
I had crazy neck spasms during my squat warm ups.
Squats - 1st attempt 540, felt pretty easy.
2nd attempt 573, still not that tough.
3rd attempt 584, made it about a third of the way up and it just stalled. I’m not sure what happened but I think I failed to keep my upper back tight and abs pushed out. Finished the day @ 573.
Bench – 1st attempt 430, came down way too high on chest for some odd reason, almost couldn’t lock it out, but did.
2nd attempt 452, hit the groove and smashed it up! No problem, but as I went to sit up, my jaw and neck went into spasms and I could barely move. I finally crawled off the bench and convinced the judges that I was OK.
3rd attempt 463, hit the groove again and got it for a PR!
Deadlift - 1st attempt 562, easy opener. Upper back and traps went into spasms this time after I set the bar down.
2nd attempt 601, not too tough.
3rd attempt 628, another PR! I got one red-light for hitching, but really didn’t think I did that.
So ended another fine day with a PR total of 1664 raw! GOD is my strength and my power, and He makes my way perfect.
