Overhead Day

Starting a new phase of training more towards strongman. I'm planning to do a strongman contest this summer, God willing. I'm looking for some motivation to get my training back where it was, so here goes...……….

Using a modified program from EliteFTS.com by Matt Mills, pro strongman.

Gym Temp: 55°
Music: August Burns Red, Messengers

Warm up w/ 10 minute walk wearing the Bowtie, Kettlebell Halos, Hammer Winds and Band Pull-aparts.

8" Log Clean and Press (each rep)
60 x 8
100 x 8, 8, 8 - one motion from hips to overhead, speed work.

Seated Dumbbell Overhead Press
30s x 10, 10, 10

Wide Grip Pulldowns (to front)
180 x 8
190 x 8
200 x 8, 8

Seated Dumbbell Laterals
10s x 12, 12, 12

*Done as one giant set:
*Banded Face-pulls
Mini-band x 15, 15, 15
*Dumbbell Curls
30s x 10, 10, 10
*Rope Pressdowns
50 x 12, 12, 12
