Contest grip bench (Sadiv Sets: these I got from one of Martin Rooney’s “Train like a Man” articles) Basically you put 90% of your max bench press on the bar and do 10 singles in 10 minutes. Due to still feeling fragile because of my weight loss, I dropped the weight to 80%.
135x8, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 350x1, [365x1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 in 10 minutes] All reps done with a pause on the chest (powerlifting style)
Barbell complex (110 lbs.)
Bent over row x 5 reps
Hang clean x 5 reps
Front squat with push press x 5 reps
Jump squat x 5 reps
Goodmornings x 5 reps
Each exercise done one after the other without setting the bar down for a giant set. Rest 75 seconds and repeat 3 more times. That pain you're feeling is just weakness leaving the body.
I don’t feel as crushed today as in past weeks and I’m down to 312..……..….I feel small ; )
